السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَمِينَ اللَّهِ فِي أَرْضِهِ وَحُجَّتَهُ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ. السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ جَاهَدْتَ فِي اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ وَعَمِلْتَ بِكِتَابِهِ وَاتَّبَعْتَ سُنَنَ نَبِيِّهِ. حَتَّى دَعَاكَ اللَّهُ إِلَى جِوَارِهِ فَقَبَضَكَ إِلَيْهِ بِاخْتِيَارِهِ وَأَلْزَمَ أَعْدَاءَكَ الْحُجَّةَ مَعَ مَا لَكَ مِنَ الْحُجَجِ الْبَالِغَةِ عَلَى جَمِيعِ خَلْقِهِ. اللَّهُمَّ فَاجْعَلْ نَفْسِي مُطْمَئِنَّةً بِقَدَرِكَ رَاضِيَةً بِقَضَائِكَ.
Peace be upon you, O trustee of God on His earth and His proof against His servants. Peace be upon you, O Commander of the Faithful. I bear witness that you struggled in the way of God as is due, acted by His Book, and followed the traditions of His Prophet. Until God called you to His vicinity and took you to Him by His choice, and established the proof against your enemies in addition to the conclusive proofs you hold over all His creation. O God, make my soul tranquil with Your decree and content with Your judgment.
