إِلَهِي مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي ذَاقَ حَلاَوَةَ مَحَبَّتِكَ فَرَامَ مِنْكَ بَدَلاً وَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي أَنِسَ بِقُرْبِكَ فَابْتَغَى عَنْكَ حِوَلاً. إِلَهِي فَاجْعَلْنَا مِمَّنِ اصْطَفَيْتَهُ لِقُرْبِكَ وَوِلاَيَتِكَ وَأَخْلَصْتَهُ لِوُدِّكَ وَمَحَبَّتِكَ وَشَوَّقْتَهُ إِلَى لِقَائِكَ وَرَضَّيْتَهُ بِقَضَائِكَ. وَمَنَحْتَهُ بِالنَّظَرِ إِلَى وَجْهِكَ وَحَبَوْتَهُ بِرِضَاكَ وَأَعَذْتَهُ مِنْ هَجْرِكَ وَقَلاَكَ وَبَوَّأْتَهُ مَقْعَدَ الصِّدْقِ فِي جِوَارِكَ.
My God, who has tasted the sweetness of Your love and then sought a substitute for You? And who has found comfort in Your nearness and then sought departure from You? My God, make us among those whom You have chosen for Your nearness and Your guardianship, whom You have purified for Your affection and love, whom You have filled with longing for Your meeting, and whom You have satisfied with Your decree. Whom You have graced with gazing upon Your Face, whom You have favored with Your pleasure, whom You have sheltered from Your abandonment and rejection, and whom You have established in a seat of truth in Your vicinity.
