مَجْمَعُ الْبَيَانِ، رُوِيَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ع أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ فَرَأَى نَاساً يُصَلُّونَ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ شَهِدْنَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ فِي مِثْلِ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ أَحَدٌ يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ الْعِيدِ أَوْ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ
فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَ لَا تَنْهَى أَنْ يُصَلُّوا قَبْلَ خُرُوجِ الْإِمَامِ
فَقَالَ لَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَنْهَى عَبْداً إِذَا صَلَّى وَ لَكِنَّا نُحَدِّثُهُمْ بِمَا شَهِدْنَا مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ص أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ.
(The book) ‘Majma Al Bayan’ –
‘It is reported from Ali-asws, he-asws went out during a day of Eid. He-asws saw some people praying Salat. He-asws said: ‘O you people! We have witnessed the Prophet-saww of Allah-azwj in a day similar to this. There did not happen to be anyone who had prayed before the Eid’, or the Prophet-saww said (so)’. A man said, ‘O Amir Al-Momineen-asws! Why don’t you-asws forbid them from praying before the prayer leader comes out? ’
He-asws said: ‘I-asws don’t want to forbid a servant when he is praying Salat, but we should narrate to them with what we have witnessed from the Prophet-saww, or just as he-saww had said’’. [36]
