ج، الإحتجاج د، العدد القوية عَنْ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ: قَامَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ع عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ حِينَ اجْتَمَعَ مَعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَ أَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ زَعَمَ أَنِّي رَأَيْتُهُ لِلْخِلَافَةِ أَهْلًا وَ لَمْ أَرَ نَفْسِي لَهَا أَهْلًا وَ كَذَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ
أَنَا أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِالنَّاسِ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ فَأُقْسِمُ بِاللَّهِ لَوْ أَنَّ النَّاسَ بَايَعُونِي وَ أَطَاعُونِي وَ نَصَرُونِي لَأَعْطَتْهُمُ السَّمَاءُ قَطْرَهَا وَ الْأَرْضُ بَرَكَتَهَا
وَ لَمَا طَمِعْتَ فِيهَا يَا مُعَاوِيَةُ وَ قَدْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَا وَلَّتْ أُمَّةٌ أَمْرَهَا رَجُلًا قَطُّ وَ فِيهِمْ مَنْ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ مِنْهُ إِلَّا لَمْ يَزَلْ أَمْرُهُمْ يَذْهَبُ سَفَالًا حَتَّى يَرْجِعُوا إِلَى مِلَّةِ عَبَدَةِ الْعِجْلِ
وَ قَدْ تَرَكَ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ هَارُونَ وَ اعْتَكَفُوا عَلَى الْعِجْلِ وَ هُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ هَارُونَ خَلِيفَةُ مُوسَى وَ قَدْ تَرَكَتِ الْأُمَّةُ عَلِيّاً ع وَ قَدْ سَمِعُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص يَقُولُ لِعَلِيٍّ ع أَنْتَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى غَيْرَ النُّبُوَّةِ فَلَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي
وَ قَدْ هَرَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مِنْ قَوْمِهِ وَ هُوَ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى اللَّهِ حَتَّى فَرَّ إِلَى الْغَارِ وَ لَوْ وَجَدَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَعْوَاناً مَا هَرَبَ مِنْهُمْ وَ لَوْ وَجَدْتُ أَنَا أَعْوَاناً مَا بَايَعْتُكَ
يَا مُعَاوِيَةُ وَ قَدْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ هَارُونَ فِي سَعَةٍ حِينَ اسْتَضْعَفُوهُ وَ كَادُوا يَقْتُلُونَهُ وَ لَمْ يَجِدْ عَلَيْهِمْ أَعْوَاناً وَ قَدْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ النَّبِيَّ ص فِي سَعَةٍ حِينَ فَرَّ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ لِمَا لَمْ يَجِدْ أَعْوَاناً عَلَيْهِمْ
وَ كَذَلِكَ أَنَا وَ أَبِي فِي سَعَةٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ حِينَ تَرَكَتْنَا الْأُمَّةُ وَ بَايَعَتْ غَيْرَنَا وَ لَمْ نَجِدْ أَعْوَاناً وَ إِنَّمَا هِيَ السُّنَنُ وَ الْأَمْثَالُ يَتْبَعُ بَعْضُهَا بَعْضاً أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّكُمْ لَوِ الْتَمَسْتُمْ فِيمَا بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَ الْمَغْرِبِ لَمْ تَجِدُوا رَجُلًا مِنْ وُلْدِ نَبِيٍّ غَيْرِي وَ غَيْرَ أَخِي.
(The books) ‘Al Ihtijaj’, (and) ‘Al Adad Al Qawiya’, from Suleym Bin Qays who said, ‘Al-Hassan-asws Bin Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws addressed upon the pulpit when there was a gathering with Muawiya, and he-asws extolled upon Him-azwj, then said: ‘O you people! Muawiya claims that I-asws am viewing him as being rightful for the caliphate, and I-asws do not see myself-asws rightful for it, however/but Muawiya is lying! I-asws am foremost of the people with the people, in the Book of Allah-azwj and upon the tongue of the Prophet-saww of Allah-azwj. I-asws swear by Allah-azwj! If the people were to pledge allegiance to me-asws, and they obey me-asws and help me-asws, the sky would give them its drops and the earth its blessings. O Muawiya! And when you coveted it, and Rasool-Allah-saww had said: ‘No community will give the charge of its affairs to a man at all and among them is one who is more learned than him, except their affairs will not cease to go lower until they return to the religion of worshipping the calf! ’
And the clan of Israeel had neglected Haroun-as and they retreated to the calf, and they had known that Haroun-as is a caliph of Musa-asws, and the community had neglected Ali‑asws although they had heard Rasool-Allah-saww saying to Ali-asws: ‘You-asws are from me-saww as the status of Haroun-as from Musa-as, apart from the Prophet-hood, for there is no Prophet-as after me-saww’. And Rasool-Allah-saww had fled from his-saww people and he-saww was calling them to Allah‑azwj, until he-saww had to flee to the cave, and had he-saww found supporters against them, he‑saww would not have fled from them, and had I-asws found supporters, I-asws would not have pledged allegiance to you! O Muawiya! And Allah-azwj had Made Haroun-as to be in a leeway when they had weakened him-as and they almost killed him-as, and he-as did not find any supporters against them; and Allah-azwj had Made the Prophet-saww to be in leeway when he-saww had to flee from his‑saww people when he-saww did not find any supporters against them. And like that are my-asws father-asws and me-asws, in a leeway from Allah-azwj when the community neglected us-asws and pledged allegiance to others. And rather, it is the Sunnah and the examples, following each other. O you people! Even if you were to seek among what is between the east and the west, you will not be finding any man from the sons of the Prophet-saww apart from me-asws and my-asws brother-asws! ’’[15]
