الحديث 24

وَ رُوِيَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص فَسَلَّمْتُ وَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرِنِي الْحَقَّ أَنْظُرْ إِلَيْهِ بَيَاناً فَقَالَ يَا ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ لِجِ الْمِخْدَعَ فَانْظُرْ مَا ذَا تَرَى
قَالَ فَدَخَلْتُ فَإِذَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ع رَاكِعاً وَ سَاجِداً وَ هُوَ يَخْشَعُ فِي رُكُوعِهِ وَ سُجُودِهِ وَ يَقُولُ- اللَّهُمَّ بِحَقِّ نَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ إِلَّا مَا غَفَرْتَ لِلْمُذْنِبِينَ مِنْ شِيعَتِي
فَخَرَجْتُ لِأُخْبِرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص بِذَلِكَ فَوَجَدْتُهُ رَاكِعاً وَ سَاجِداً وَ هُوَ يَخْشَعُ فِي رُكُوعِهِ وَ سُجُودِهِ وَ يَقُولُ- اللَّهُمَّ بِحَقِّ عَلِيٍّ وَلِيِّكَ إِلَّا مَا غَفَرْتَ لِلْمُذْنِبِينَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي
فَأَخَذَنِي الْهَلَعُ فَأَوْجَزَ ص فِي صَلَاتِهِ وَ قَالَ يَا ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ أَ كُفْراً بَعْدَ إِيمَانٍ فَقُلْتُ لَا وَ عَيْشِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ غَيْرَ أَنِّي نَظَرْتُ إِلَى عَلِيٍّ وَ هُوَ يَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى بِجَاهِكَ وَ نَظَرْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَ أَنْتَ تَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى بِجَاهِهِ فَلَا أَعْلَمُ أَيُّكُمَا أَوْجَهُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى مِنَ الْآخَرِ
فَقَالَ يَا ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى خَلَقَنِي وَ خَلَقَ عَلِيّاً وَ الْحَسَنَ وَ الْحُسَيْنَ مِنْ نُورِ قُدْسِهِ فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُنْشِئَ خَلْقَهُ فَتَقَ نُورِي وَ خَلَقَ مِنْهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضَ وَ أَنَا وَ اللَّهِ أَجَلُّ مِنَ السَّمَ
And it is reported from Abdullah Bin Masoud who said, ‘I entered to see Rasool-Allah-saww and greeted, and I said, ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! Show me the truth so I can look at it clearly’. He-saww said: ‘O Ibn Masoud! Enter into the inside room and look at what you can see’. I entered and there was Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws performing Ruk’u and Sajdah, and he-asws was fearful in his-asws Ruk’u and his-asws Sajdah, and he-asws was saying: ‘O Allah-azwj! By the right of Your-azwj Prophet-saww Muhammad-saww! If You-azwj could Forgive for the sinners from my-asws Shias! ’
So, I went out to inform Rasool-Allah-saww with that and found him-saww to be performing Ruk’u and Sajdah, and he-saww was fearful in his-saww Ruk’u and his-saww Sajdah, and he-saww was saying: ‘O Allah-azwj! By the right of Your-azwj friend Ali-asws! If You-azwj could Forgive for the sinners from my-saww community! ’
The timidity seized me, so he-saww was brief in his-saww Salat and said: ‘O Ibn Masoud! Are you disbelieving after the Eman? ’ I said, ‘No, by your-saww life, O Rasool-Allah-saww, apart from that I looked at Ali-asws and he-asws was asking Allah-azwj the Exalted by your-saww right, and I looked at you-saww and you-saww were asking Allah-azwj the Exalted by his-asws right. So, I don’t know which one of you-asws two are of more right in the Presence of Allah-azwj the Exalted than the other’. He-saww said: ‘O Ibn Masoud! Allah-azwj the Exalted Created me-saww, and Created Ali-asws, and Al-Hassan-asws, and Al-Husayn-asws from the Noor of His-azwj Holiness. When He-azwj Wanted to Grow His-azwj creation, He-azwj Split my-saww Noor and Created the skies and the earth from it, and by Allah
