َبِي رَافِعٍ أَنَّهُ ص صَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ وَ قَالَ إِنَّ رِجَالًا يَجِدُونَ فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَنْ سَكَنَ عَلِيٌّ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَ خَرَجُوا وَ اللَّهِ مَا فَعَلْتُ إِلَّا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّي إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى أَوْحَى إِلَى مُوسَى أَنْ يَسْكُنَ مَسْجِدَهُ فَلَا يَدْخُلْ جُنُبٌ غَيْرُهُ وَ غَيْرُ أَخِيهِ هَارُونَ وَ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ
وَ اعْلَمُوا رَحِمَكُمُ اللَّهُ أَنَّ عَلِيّاً مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى إِلَّا أَنَّهُ لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي وَ لَوْ كَانَ كَانَ عَلِيّاً. جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ كُنَّا نَنَامُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَ مَعَنَا عَلِيٌّ ع فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص فَقَالَ قُومُوا فَلَا تَنَامُوا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقُمْنَا لِنَخْرُجَ فَقَالَ أَمَّا أَنْتَ يَا عَلِيُّ فَنَمْ فَقَدْ أُذِنَ لَكَ. أَبُو صَالِحٍ الْمُؤَذِّنُ فِي الْأَرْبَعِينِ وَ أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ الْعَطَّارُ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ فِي كِتَابِهِ بِالْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهِ أَلَا إِنَّ هَذَا الْمَسْجِدَ لَا يَحِلُّ لِجُنُبٍ وَ لَا حَائِضٍ إِلَّا لِلنَّبِيِّ وَ أَزْوَاجِهِ وَ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلِيٍّ أَلَا بَيَّنْتُ لَكُمْ أَنْ تَضِلُّوا مَرَّتَيْنِ. جَامِعُ التِّرْمِذِيِّ وَ مُسْنَدُ أَبِي يَعْلَى أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ص يَا عَلِيُّ لَا يَحِلُّ لِأَحَدٍ أَنْ يُجْنِبَ فِي هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ غَيْرِي وَ غَيْرُكَ. وَ فِي رِوَايَةٍ يَا عَلِيُّ لَا يَحِلُّ لِأَحَدٍ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ غَيْرِي وَ غَيْرِكَ. وَ فِي رِوَايَةٍ وَ لَا يَحِلُّ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ مَسْجِدِي جُنُبٌ غَيْرِي وَ غَيْرُهُ وَ غَيْرُ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ فَمَنْ شَاءَ فَهُنَا وَ أَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ نَحْوَ الشَّامِ
فَقَالَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ لَقَدْ ضَلَّ وَ غَوَى فِي أَمْرِ خَتَنِهِ فَنَزَلَ ما ضَلَّ صاحِبُكُمْ وَ ما غَوى.
Abu Rafie –
‘He-saww ascended the pulpit and said: ‘(Some) men are finding within themselves (grudges) that I-saww have settled Ali-asws in the Masjid, and they were expelled. By Allah-azwj! I-saww did not do so except from a Command of my-saww Lord-azwj. Allah-azwj the Exalted Revealed to Musaas to settle in hisas Masjid, so no one with sexual impurity could enter apart from himas and hisas brotheras Harounas and hisas offspring. And know, may Allah-azwj have Mercy on you all, that Ali-asws is from me-saww at the status of Haroun-as from Musa-as, except surely there is no Prophet-as after me-saww, and if there had been, it would have been Ali-asws’’. [62]
Jabir Bin Abdullah, ‘We were sleeping in the Masjid and Ali-asws was with us. Rasool-Allah-saww entered towards us and said: ‘Arise! Do not be sleeping in the Masjid! ’ We stood up to go out. He-saww said: ‘As for you-asws, O Ali-asws, you-asws can sleep, for there is permission for you-asws’’. [63]
Abu Salih Al-Muwazzin in (the book) ‘Al-Arbaeen’, and Abu Al-A’ala Al-Attar Al-Hamdany in his book, by the chain from Umm Salamara, ‘He-saww said at the top of his-saww voice: ‘Indeed! This Masjid is not permissible for one with sexual impurity, nor a menstruating (woman), except for the Prophet-saww and his-saww wives, and Fatima-asws daughter-asws of Muhammad-saww, and Ali-asws. Indeed! I-saww have clarified to you all lest you stray twice! ’’[64]
(The books) ‘Jamie’ of Al Tirmizi, and ‘Musnad’ of Abu Ya’la Abu Saeed Al Khudri, ‘The Prophet-saww said: ‘O Ali-asws! It is not permissible for anyone that he be with sexual impurity while in the Masjid apart from me-saww and you-asws’’. [65]
And in a report – ‘O Ali-asws! It is not permissible for anyone from this community apart from me-saww and you-asws’’. [66]
And in a report – ‘And it not permissible and he enters into my-saww Masjid apart from me-saww and him-asws and his-asws offspring. So, the one who so desires, it is over there! ’ – and he-saww indicated by his-saww hand around Syria’. The hypocrites said, ‘He-saww has erred and deviated in the matter of his-saww son-in-law! ’ So, it was Revealed: Your companion does not err, and does not deviate [53: 2]’’. [67]
